Your question leaves a little detail out. If you are worried about a check you DEPOSITED into your account, banks give you conditional credit sometimes for deposit and they can subtract the deposit from your account, if the check is rightfully returned. That's under your deposit/account agreement with them.
If it's a check you gave to someone else, and it cleared your account, that means that it won't bounce back to you "per se" but that the bank will be looking for you to make up any difference in funds short in your account, as an overdraft of your account. Also in your deposit/account agreement. Banks have a limited time to allow clearance of funds interbank under the Uniform Commercial Code and don't ask for funds back from another bank if that time period has passed, if they transferred the funds. If you are concerned about a different situation, please edit your question to provide more detail.

If you pay a check and it has cleared it can't bounce. If someone wrote you a check, you may be in a situation in which the check seems to have cleared and the bounced. This case is when you deposit a check from another banks account, your bank gives you the money, and if the check bounces, then they go and get their money back.

No. If a check clears, it means you had enough money in your account to cover it. If you don't, it bounces.

No. The fact that it cleared means it DIDN'T bounce. Your bank made a mistake. Make sure they make it right.

It's possible, but not common. I had a check stolen several years ago by a "friend" who cashed it. I brought it to the bank and they charged it back to the paying bank. There was money in her account and it posted back to mine.

I would think that would be impossible...if it cleared, it was already processed.
