My six month old still has saphire blue eyes. His daddy has dark brown eyes and I have grey/blue eyes....but my dad's are really blue too. Is it still too early to assume that my son's eyes are going to stay blue?

I've always heard that a baby's eyes (if they're going to change)will change by the time they are 6 months. I'd place my bet that he's going to have grandpa's pretty blue eyes!

Every child's eyes change differently. My oldest son's were blue, but turned brown around nine months. My younger son's were changed by the time he was two months.

A childs eyes can change up to two years of age. Blue eyes are hereditary though, so hope for the best.

My son had blue eyes and they got darker and darker until they were hazel when he was 4. Now, they usually look brown, but they have greener days. They could change at any time. Or they could not. Genetics are funny like that.

yes. My husband's mother was born with a violet color and her eyes were like Elizabeth Taylor's and her's changed at 2 or 3 yrs of age. Now they are brown and grey.

A baby's eyes will change around 6 months. So, if he has Sapphire blue eyes now, I imagine they will stay that way!! Sounds nice!! :~)

Hmmm yeah I am sure they may change just a little. When I was born my eye color was like black and now it is brown. On the other hand, my friend has Hazel eyes and sometimes they still change colors. Like it goes from Hazel to green and he is in his late teens.

They may never change. However, there are kids I've seen whose eyes changed after 1 yr. I've also seen people who as they got older their eyes were like mood rings, only changed when their moods changed. Watch for that too.

Eye color will never change, and that's a scientific fact. However, as his eyes slowly begin to grow it might become apparent that the sun hitting them might lighten them.
