It could be an allergy. Watch him and make sure that he doesn't develop trouble breathing.
Has he eaten anything new? Do you have a new pet? Did this come on suddenly?
It might be worth a call to your doctor or emergency room as an allergic reaction can be dangerous. At a minimum, watch him closely and make sure that his breathing doesn't become difficult. If so, get help immediately.
One other person mentioned Benadryl, That's probably a real good idea. Benadryl is an antihistamine, and it may be histamines that are causing the bumps. (If it's an allergy) Still, before giving him this, call a doctor and get their advice as there could be an illness going around in your area that is causing bumps like this.

If your brother had a mild case of chicken pox before, it is possible for him to have it again. He could also have hives (raised red bumps, irregular in size) this can be caused by foods, meds or stress. Maybe shingles or measles. If he is old enough, have your foll,ks give him a dose of Benadryl, if the bumps go away, it is most likely an allergic reaction to something. If they don't...it may be something more severe. He should be seen by a doctor, just for safety.
i hope he gets better soon!

Was your brother ever vaccinated for chicken pox? If not, he might have had a mild case when he was younger. When that happens, they could come back again. My toddler had them right before he was able to get vaccinated (too young), they didn't vaccinate and I was told he could get them, even more severely in the future. FYI: they usually start around the trunk, or midsection, and spread from there. There is no cure, only calamine lotion and daily baths with Aveeno (sold at the drugstore).

Chicken pox. You can get it twice. Scarlet fever. A rash, hives, could be related to a heart issue. He should see a doctor.

You need to be more specific about hives/Uticaria/Angiodema. Are these all over his body ? It could very well be allergic reactions to something he ate (peanuts, eggs, several things) or environmental allergies including pollen, etc. In any case, you might want to have him tested for allergies before there is any chance of anaphylactic shock.

He's probably allergic to something he has touched. Change in detergent or fabric softener? Whatever it is give him benadryl and try to figure out what has been different, food or detergent, something has caused an allergic reaction. 25 to 50 mg. benadryl will stop itch and if it goes away you'll know he's allergic to something. Taking any antibiotics? you can become allergic at anytime. i did.

They could be hives. He is proboly allergic to something new around you. Search the house and then take him to the doctors.

It could be just that hives. He could be having an allergic reaction to something. Seek professional medical advice. If it is Benadryl will help but please consult a doctor.

How old is He? sounds like an allergic reaction to something, probably a new med or sheets, laundry detergent, or something he ate. Good question
