If it is an older animal, you can tell they are at least 7-8 years old by the color of the fur, which would be a faded color, and it would also be dry. But if it is a younger cat, I wouldnt have any idea how to tell how old he/she is!

The condition of her eyes,teeth,play fullness, are all factors.
teeth should be white if twelve or under,eyes clear, no cataracts. the cat should be willing to play with you. Oftentimes if the cat has medical or physical problems it is older.
