Faith is a born freedom. Conversion is an insult to that faith. It is most unnecessary and it should be banned as it is in China.

No! Faith is seeing life as explicable with portions unknowable for the time being. It takes a vivid imagination and a metaphorical leap to get to faith, but faith is then a way of knowing. Belief is an act of will. Faith is a leap from one state of being to another. You probably have to make that leap any number of times, which is because life is too dam painful without faith. With Faith you can know, now.

"conversion"
being "converted" is being "turned around"
you realize you were heading the WRONG way ... there is a way that seems right to humans, but the ways thereof are the ways of death.

you convert, you turn around, you start heading in the RIGHT direction. You start walking in the paths of righteousness.

Faith is necessary; faith enables you to convert and walk in newness of life.

If you say you have "faith" but keep walking in the wrong direction .... where will you end?

Conversion to what religion, what faith are you talking about. Most people won't be able to answer for all religions, and you may want to clarify.

I would say it is essential. You must allow yourself to be converted from the uninformed you to the enlightened one. This is a process which can either be instantaneous, but that is highly unlikely, or very gradual.

Please don't buy into a denomination. They have agendas.

Pray, think, and ask questions.

Try to find a Willow Creek Associated church, they really understrand what it means to be a Christian. No conversions, just a better life.
