Well, first of all, you should figure out how you feel about him. If it's only a little more than a friend, then maybe staying friends is the best option after all. Not only that, but if you incorrectly decide to pursue him as more than a friend and it turns out he doesn't feel that way about you, then you're left in the dust and things are even more awkward between you two. Finally, if you're in the band practice room for practicing, there probably shouldn't be much talking anyways. ;)

Just talk to the guy. Maybe ask him about his family or his job or his car or anything that guys like to talk about. Maybe talk with him about a troubling part in the music that you are playing or the music program that your band is going to be participating in. YOu may find that if you start to talk with him, he will gladly respond. Maybe he feels the same way you do and is not sure how to start the conversation. He also may be a bit shy because of his speech problem. I would not base my feelings on whether the guy is good looking or speaks well. It's what inside that counts and also how he treats you. My hubby is not the most handsome man in the world, but his heart and soul are sweet, gentle and kind. He treats me and our daughter like we are gold and the most precious thing in the world. That's what counts, not whether he could be a model in GQ.

well he is a guy so thereis the whole unknown territory thing and the social stigma of being seen w/ lispy but if you told him you like him as a close friend but not for a relationship you'll crush him but if i look deep down and find any thing else in you you may see more than skin deep i dunno but thatmy two cents 4 two points
