This is the most informative site I have found on Absinth. We have managed to get the "Green Fairy" shipped to the US with no problem. You can even order it from this site and it is shipped in a plain brown package, with Christmas right around the corner, there shouldn't be too much concern getting it shipped to you within a few days with no problems. Absinth is pretty good tasting. I love it, but everyone else I know hates the taste. If you do get some, make sure that it is actual wormwood in, or you don't get the effects. They make some artifical stuff, but there are no effects. We got a bottle on the germany and france border in a little liquor store that was excellent. My roommate also brought a bottle back from Austraila that was ok.
It is highly illegal to bring it back to the US- but it is possible, and unless you are the unlucky one that gets your luggage randomly checked, it would pass through the airport.

Absinthe and no you can't get it unless you go to Europe. It's not something you can just buy here and don't even think about trying to import it. They'll bury you under the jail.

It's Abstinthe. The only way to get it is to go to Europe and buy it where it's legal. Better not bring it over here though or you will face charges.
