You can't download MS word, but if you have it already, you can get updates at:

Correction:
You can get a "test-drive" version of MS Office 2007 (includes word) for free, but it will only work until Feb 2007. Look here:

You don't.

For a real, LEGAL version look into:

1) Buying a "student" version at Best Buy, etc.
2) Check into a FREE upgrade to Office 2007 when it's released.
