I would think that if they do have lead (which is a possibility) that since you are not going to eat out out of them that there should not be a problem. Lead leaches out of leaded glass or ceramics that are fired w/ lead glaze only when food/liquid is consumed out of them. (The other way to get lead poisoning is if you are around peeling paint.) Wear plastic gloves to hang them up. When your child is a toddler, do not use them.

Do you love them? well maybe they do contain lead so either box them away until after you give birth, or wear latex gloves while you hang them.
But understand that this is the last Christmas that you will use glass bulbs for the next 18 years!
Not because of lead, but because of kids, friends of kids, pets of kids, arguments of kids, life in general! So when you retire you can safely pull the antique bulbs out of storage and use them for 3 Christmases until the GRAND KIDS get there!

Pregnant women handled these things for hundreds of years before the boys in white came along and scared the hell out of everyone for looking at paint with lead in it. Don't worry about it and enjoy them.

Oh dear! Yes. Be careful for that precious one you have within you.
Keep out of reach of children, pregnant mothers or mothers who may be nursing.
Know what I mean?
