How are Christians supposed to know who he is so they can imitate him? Trust me, if I wanted to know more about Jesus I wouldn't look at some Christians and assume he was like them.

Christians are not perfect, they are human, they make mistakes. They do or say things without thinking sometimes. They should be Christ-like but often the fall short. I don't attend church as I once did. But I feel that most people can "tell" that I am a Christian. Non-believers may not "know" what Christians should be like if they haven't read the Bible or have known true Christian.
Some one who goes to a Certain type of Church does not make them a Christian any more than sitting in a Garage makes me a Car. So it is what is in the heart (soul) that counts. and True Christians do need to walk the walk and talk the talk. and Show Christ's love to all. and we can not see what is in someone's heart to know if he is a Christian. Only God can do that.

A shallow Christian does more harm than good, for setting an example of the good that comes from Christ, and any rational person would reject Jesus if they had to witness a hypocrite, and believe that was all there was. So the non-believer would remain so, on account of one claiming Christianity, but doing the opposite.

Christians are not supposed to walk and act like Jesus. jesus was the only perfect being. no one else will be like him. christians are not perfect sin free people. the best way for you to know jesus is pick up a bible, read it, and try to follow what the good word says. If you stray away from God, you repent as God tells us to do.

whether a Christian walk the walk and also talk the talk, they will be persecuted--- Jesus said that.

Jesus said to spread His Gospel; to SHARE it and He will do the rest. He knows that Christians are humans, too-- not perfect and they can sin. I am not excusing Christians who have double standards. But I am not dwelling on that either-- God is our ultimate JUDGE-- let Him do the judging.

Yes, we should walk and talk and act like Christ Jesus-- He might have died on the cross but He revolutionized the true meaning of loving God with all our hearts, minds and mights---He got angry, too, during His days here-- righteous anger--and this is one of the characteristics of a true Christian, believing in what is right in the eyes of God. You have to know the true nature of God to know what is pleasing in His eyes. :-)

Jesus could just visit all of us. He does have the power to do that, after all he is the son of God. or He could just do Letterman. But alas we aren't as important to him as the people were 2000 years ago. What gives?

good question. it is our job as Christians to "Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." but that is somewhat of a difficult task. were working on it. (missionaries)and Christians should be trying to act like Jesus, but that is impossible because we arent perfect, and He was...

Well, it depends on why they are "non-believers"---is it becasue they have chosen NOT to believe in or follow Christ? If so, respect their beliefs for what they are. If Christianity is the right path for them, then they will find it eventually.
