Atheism is frequently called arrogant. Yet, I would ask, is it really more arrogant than claiming one is in regular dialog with the creator of the universe? And that if you disagree with them, you actually disagree with God?

Which seems more arrogant to you?

It is arrogant to place your beliefs higher than anyone else's to the point where you persecute or belittle those who do not believe what you do when it comes to God. It is arrogant to think that you have all the answers! It is arrogant to use your faith as a superiority complex. It is never arrogant to search for answers, to ask tough questions, and to seek a deeper understanding! Ciao!

I'll say this; It is arrogant to believe that you just die and that's it. I tend to think that something must happen when your dead. That one's soul (If you believe in that) has to go somewhere. And all the things we see and go through must have some meaning to it, otherwise what's the point of living life if you're not going to learn from it? Everything we do has meaning.

Ok here it goes. He who believes in nothing, believes everything. Science has flaws because man is flawed, but so is religion in general. All i can tell you is that you should believe in yourself and hopefully find your morals on where you stand. Science cannot prove why we were made, how, and why. Religion goes to the core with these things, and do so in an attempt to justify their existence. Life is no comsic mistake, it's a miracle.

I see neither as arrogant. Some believe and some don't. Simple. God existence cannot be proved or disproved.

It's more arrogant to believe because you close your mind off to alternative possibilities.

hmmmm... i think its not called arrogance but in both the believer and the unbelievers, its mans inner quest in finding answers within and without, and not finding it readily available in one click of a finger, then its best to keep searching. God bless your search:)

It's more arrogant to impose your beliefs (or non-beliefs) on others, or to assume that you're better than someone else just because they don't believe (or disbelieve) what you do, or to assume you have a right to preach your beliefs (or non-beliefs) to others without their consent.

For what it's worth, I think it is LESS arrogant to have your beliefs and keep them to yourself.
