To lie is a sin and the Devil is the father of all lies. Although you lied with a devil, it is counted as sin. You're just becoming more clever with the father of all lies.

"Thou shalt not lie" doesn't have any conditional statements on it.
A direct and literal reading says it's a violation of God's commandments to lie to anything in any context.
