I think of Santa as a trainer religion for kids, so yes Santa is quite similar to God in how he's used. He a figure presented to children as a jolly, wholly benevolent character. If you want him to reward you, you have to be good. However, to make it easier for kids, he's been given a physical form and a limited scope (only expected on Christmas). But he accomplishes the impossible by visiting the entire world in one night and requires a belief outside of logic.

No, Santa Clause and God are totally different entities. God is the creator of all things while santa just gives toys to the children. But both of them gives hope.

No, I don't think so. Santa Clause, is a big jolly guy, he was actually modeled after St. Nick. Here are some websites on St. Nick, and the hisory behind him:

Only one man died on the cross to save us from sin and it wasn't Santa Clause. When people see Santa Clause, they smile with joy and glee... When Christ comes back and lands on the Mount of Olives, most everyone won't be so happy and uhh... he won't be dropping off gifts down your chimmney. You wont have to leave out any cookies 'cause we don't know when He's coming back.

how could you possibly even attempt to compare the two? God exists, Santa doesnt. God is an amazing Savior that can answer prayer and has created the world...Santa is a story...

Santa Clause leaves you gifts for no reason at all. He doesn't want to know you. He only wants to know if you're "naughty" or "nice."

God knows you're bad and loves you anyway. He wants to know you and to interact with you.

They don't sound anything alike to me. Besides, Santa is a fictional character based on a Christian Saint. God isn't fictional at all.

No Santa wears a red suit and has a big white beard. God wears a robe and sandals.

Contrary to popular belief God isn't just a big Santa in the sky waiting for our every whim.
He is our creator , our Father who teaches us how to live if we follow him .
