I will be in Southern Thailand and am looking at going straight to Cambodia. After endless searches, it seems that the only option is going from Bangkok? I don't want to have to backtrack as I am on a time budget! Can somebody please offer any advice?!

Bangkok Air has a flight from Samui to Pattaya (U-Tapao) and you can get a bus from Pattaya to the Cambodian border with no problem. That avoids going through Bangkok.
