In general people that at some point in life needed help with their life and sought out Jesus, but never moved on and explored future into it, then they become self-right and even stop being with their own family because they are not Christians, so I would say a person seeking knowledge to better their lives but have just traded one bad habit for another

Because the first man and woman rebelled against God {Adam and Eve} death and judgement had come upon them and all of their
desendants including everyone that has ever lived on this planet.God is a Holy God and no sinner could be allowed to enter his Kingdom in our present state . So God had to find a away where his justice was satified for our sins without sending us to Hell to satisfy His Law.So He sent His only Son into the world born of a virgin {without the taint of Adam's sin} to die for man's sin and the judgement that should have been ours was placed on him.So any one that ask Jesus come into their heart and save their soul will have all of ther sins forgiven and have a place waitinfor them in Heaven when they die.
That's what being a Christian means .

"...Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.

Also another book was opened, which is the book of life.

And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.

And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.

This is the second death, the lake of fire; and if any one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Rev. 20:5, 6; 11-15)

Either someone who says they are one or someone who follows the Bible. Of the latter, Fred Phelps is the closest thing there has been to a Christian since the Dark Ages.
