Recently, my best friend starting hanging around with a couple jerks in my class and has turned into one. He's been being an asshole to me lately because of it. Is it me? or is it him that has the problem?

It's not you. He is trying to impress those guys by acting like them. Best friends do not treat best friends like that. You deserve better. If he keeps it up, maybe you should consider finding another best friend.

It is most definitely HIM. He is trying to act "cool" for his new friends, but in reality is nothing but a jerk. He is not a friend. True friends would not treat you like that, ever, especially to impress other people. He is in way too deep and you would be better off staying clear of him. Sure it is a loss of a friend, which is hard, but in the long run you will have less hurt.

Gotta be damn disappointed with your best friend. He trying to fit in the group that is not him, that's why he changed to fit.If he think that being a jerk is better than be your friend, then, let him be.Don't blame yourself, the problem at him.A friend won't act like an asshole. Its time for you to look for a friend that is worth it,the one that only will be themself

Of coarse it is him!!!! You are the one that hasn't changed or starting hanging around new people he is the one. He is being brainwashed basically and trying to become just like them to fit in!! Trust me it isn't worth the worry over him so just enjoy your other friends who you know are actually friends!!!! Maybe one day he might come around and see how he is really treating you and how he is acting!!
