Given that Islamic terrorism is the foremost issue in homeland security, should Muslims pay for the additional expenses that their extremists incur?

I think a lot of people fail to realize that the US has its own extremists. They're called the KKK and the Aryan Nation and just plain bigots like the people who burn down churches of mostly black congregations. We cannot all be held accountable for the abhorrent actions of a few. If this became practice, where would it end? Would parents of murderers also have to go to prison? Would teachers lose their jobs is a child in their class failed? This world and particularly our country is severely lacking in personal responsibility and accountability. The one or ones who perpetrate the act should pay.

No, because that would be asking innocent people to pay for something they have no part of--should German kids have to pay for the sins of their grandparents? Should Chrisrtians have to pay for the gentiles killed in the Crusades and Inquisition> Your question has an obvious covert message which I think says something about how your really feel. I am not a Muslim but my wife is and she is horrified over what the Jihad has done to innocent people--but she too is as innocent as the victims, like some of the Muslim victims at the World Trade Center on 911. If you don't believe that was true, I worked for Project Liberty in NYC and know of Muslims that were also killed there. Your question is not very kind. Now in terms of Islamic terrorism--I think the terrorists should be made to pay with their lives if possible,

Most of Islamic "terrorism" is made up and sexed up by the Bush and Blair governments to pursue an illegal war abroad. And to think we are dropping millions of tons of bombs on them I'm surprised that some people talk about Muslim "terror" at all. It is Western terror that worries me.

How anyone can be fooled by this rubbish beats me. If I was an alien from outer space on earth to see what is wrong, the first thing I will advocate is the withdrawal of western troops from Iraq and Afghanistan first, then we find out about other things, don't you think?

If the leaders of the religion could condemn the movements, i will have slightly greater effective 'faith' that Islam is a non violent and loving faith, yet I do basically now no longer see those statements imminent.

That's completely ridiculous. If that's how we are to see the world, then Christian's should pay for security in abortion clinics. Every religion has their share of nut jobs.

Are all Muslims terrorists? No. Should they pay for things they have nothing to do with? No. You have the cultural grasp of an amoeba. If you want to share your idiotic ideas, next time do it in your diary.

If Christians all have to pay the legal expensives of those of us trying to keep you out of the gov't by suing. And if Catholics all have to pay the church's 12 billion dollar fine to the abused kids. And if all white people have to pay reparations to all black people. Are you starting to see a really stupid pattern here?
