like say $3 for a weeks labor thats what they earn in their country

Good point. I know of many cases where people have worked the heck out of illegal aliens for days and when pay day comes they report them to the cops or immigration to avoid paying them. The employer is usually someone that hires them for handyman work and it never involves major companies. Bottom line is that the illegal alien usually get returned to their country. Also this mostly occurs in border communities.

There are two types of illegal immigrants.One is living in hide without the knowledge of authorities.You cannot hire this category period.If you do so,on humanitarian ground you must pay him at least minimum wage. Category 2 type illegal immigrants sometimes given work-permit.If you hire this person you must pay him legal wage and all the benefits.These people are just like you and me.They are looking for better life for themselves and their kids.They plan to work here long hours and send money back home for the family members.If they are earning $3/week in their country and you have no consideration other than sucking them is it really good and moral?Ask to your conscious and will get appropriate reply because after all you are human too.Please have some compassion.

By law you have to pay minimum wage. Regardless if he's illegal or not. Think of it this way: You're obviously stupid, yet yahoo gives you the same chance to ask actual questions, as everyone else. You wouldn't want yahoo to minimize how many questions you can ask, just because you're stupid. Right?

my guess is , yes. if you were in a foreign country or let's say
out of the woods you were raised in and some bastard worked you like whitie did the share croppers it would be hard to keep from breaking your neck. however on the brighter side when you go to the bank and their cuzn robbs you maybe that is when YOUR karma runs over YOUR dogma. treat others as you would like to be treated. plus their englesia improves the more you pay.

You can pay anyone the min. wage. Illegal or not you could get in trouble paying less. This is America not Mexico or Guatemala.

If you are going to pay minimum wage, hire a citizen. Negotiate a price less than minimum with an illegal. Get the best deal by having them bid against each other.
If they give you any crap call immigration.

No you be fair and pay them what you pay in your country, don't be stingy and rude. That's cruel, they are people too you know, put yourself in their shoes. Treat people the way you want to be treated, remember Karma will get you whatever you do, good or bad.

And than after you pay him his "wages"- if you could even call them that, you find out he carried a drug resistant form of Tuberculosis and has transmitted it to you. Poetic justice at it's finest.

he is not governed by minimum wage laws since he is not a citizen of the country, so theoretically you could pay him whatever you wanted, but hiring him is illegal to begin with you will have bigger problems to deal with.
