Im a girl who just turn 16 this past august 2006...
My mom is 5 ft. 1 and 1/2, my dad = 5 ft. 8

I got my period when i was 12, but yet even to this day they are very irregular (i could go up to 5 months without it), do u think that has anything to do with my shortness?

And is it true that after 3 yrs. of ur 1st period u can't grow anymore? (maybe it is, because since my period, I didn't even grow a centimeter...)

The LAST growth spurth i remember is when i was aroun 10 or 11ish yrs. old, I grew 5 inches in one summer. I KNOW for sure i didn't grow at around , 13, 14, 15 yrs. old...(even 12 yrs.)

So is that my FINAL growth spurth, (which i had at 10/11ish yrs. old)?

Can a girl only have ONE growth spurth?

ALSO post, if your a women who grew miraculously at age 16, 17, 18+....and state when u got ur period, and parents height...

thanks

CAN I STILL GROW? will milk help? anything?

My mom is 5'1", my dad was 6' 1". I went through menarche at age 12 and one month. I was incredibly "regular" until menopause.

I grew almost two full inches after I got to college, went there at about 5'6", full adult height is 5'8" and a little bit. I THOUGHT I was just washing my clothing incorrectly, as my pants were all getting shorter, but I was growing. My brother grew five inches in college. My grandfather grew an inch after getting out of the army at age 22. It all depends on what genes you drew.

There is some scientific evidence that getting hungry, really hungry, and going into ketosis for a short period of time, then really eating a big meal, as well as exercise can cause growth hormone to be released.

Best wishes.

that's not true...or at least not for me....i started my period when i was 10 (6 years ago) and i grew 5 inches after that. it just depends on your body. your parents are short, so you will be short also. my mom is 5 7 and my dad is 6 1, so I'm at 5 9 right now. i too had a growth spurt when i was 11 (grew 4 of those 5 inches in one summer also)...i think it is possible to have one huge growth spurt like that. you may grow a couple of centimeters and even smaller every now or then, but that's not considered a spurt. like i said, it just depends on your body. milk only helps to grow and the most an inch (if you were a heavy milk drinker your whole life), and that it will not miraculously help you grow.

I'm 17, female, and 5'4". I've been that tall since about 13. My mom is 5'6" and my dad 5'11". I got my first period a week before my 13th bday. You probably won't grow any taller, but if you periods are still irregular this long after you started, you should go see the gynecologist. You might have a problem (my periods were irregular, I went to the doctor and found out that that I have poly-cystic ovary syndrome) that could cause you problems later in life with having children and stuff. I was really freaked out to go to the gynecologist, but it's worth it in the long run.

I don't think that what you've heard is true at all.
I know girls who got their first period at eight years old, and they didn't stop growing...
A woman can grow until age 21. Most will stop before that, at around 18 or 19.
I doubt that you haven't grown at all since 12, unless you are smoking or drinking excessive amounts of caffeine.
Go to a family doctor with your concerns. There will be a growth chart there with averages of other females around your age. You may find that you are perfectly normal, and still growing.

If you don't see a doctor about your growth, at least see one about your "irregularity". It takes women about 2 years to get regular periods, and if you haven't yet, you should get that checked out. Good Luck!

maximum of your turning out to be is amazingly a lot finished, even with the actuality that your bust and excellent would not provide up really till your early 20s (about 21 many times) yet you wont get a lot taller, and your bust ought to purely flow up yet another length, till you get pregnant in which case I have heard your bust can advance (and stay) 2 extra cup sizes. Athletic human beings also have a tendency to have smaller bust sizes, and it also relies upon on the girls on your fathers length on your bust no longer basically your mom's. Your weight will always substitute, and as you get older, you'll benefit weight as your metabolism receives slower.

Your beginning menses has little to do with your natural growth. Although your parents are not of an abnormally tall stature, does not mean you are done growing. Your actual growing period will be over in 6-8 years! ;-)=
