Help! My husband is severly addicted to diet pills. First it was ephedra and now he is taking Hydroxycut and Hoodia (and might be more). I know he is taking at least 8-10 per day. His behavior is off the wall...severly depressed , then manic, angry, and out of control.- he can't sleep. He finally admitted that he has a problem but just thinks he can stop cold turkey and says "yeah, right there is really a support group of diet pill junkies" .
What makes it worse is that he knows what herbals and any type of medication can do as he is a pharmaceutical rep.
This isn't just "i'm in a bad mood day". This is severly drastic from what he is usually like and every day gets worse.
Any suggestions on what to do?

Check with your local mental health department or department of human services to see if there is a local rehab he can go to. He needs help. I work in a pharmacy and I see so many people come through that are addicted. You see it first hand and I know it is not pretty. Get him help. He might be mad at first but he will say thank you in the end. Good luck!

Use spray oil instead of pouring. One squirt contains only 1 calorie compared to 120 calories from your tablespoon. If you use oil with your cooking daily, this small change could lose that you simply stone over the year.

People who plan their weekly meals will be more successful at losing weight than individuals who don’t. Plan your dishes to include healthy carbs such as sweet potato and wholegrain pasta, vegetables and lean proteins, buy every one of the ingredients in advance and don’t be tempted to nibble on out or order in.

Go with your husband to church to learn God's way of living a happy life.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!
(Digestion of above can even prevent depression and suicidal thoughts.)

Choose spinach over any other green veg: it packs in double the fibre to help you process fat more quickly.
