I find numerous posts that ask why atheists attack Christians. I see the same answer over and over again. Christians started all the wars. Christians force their religion down other's throats. I'm just curious. Have I ever been like that to any of you? I am truly asking because it is never my intent to antagonize or hurt anyone. Thank you for your honest input.

Tony - sorry, but I'm totally rational.

Dear padwinlea,

First i just want to give you thanks for your gesture of kindness. i've most certainly seen Christians who have shared about God's love in a way that is unloving and un-Christ like. But i think you know whether you have communicated in that way or not. Just by your asking i can tell that you're doing your best to be sensitive and certain that you don't offend others.

i just want to remind you that at times sharing the gospel can be a stumbling block for some. The most important thing is not whether or not someone is offended by the gospel but to make sure that you are not offensive in the way that you share. I can not change what God has said- but i can share it in a way that is like Christ.

As you can tell from some responses- some people will always find reason to be offended. i just wanted to share that with you so that you will have boldness in your sharing- but also kindness and grace as you share God's love with others.

Kindly,

Nickster

i have a feeling that you know for a fact you havent offended anyone by your questions and somehow you feel asking this question will make everyone feel Christians are all good. unfortunately its true alot of people say Christians started all wars and all that (which of course isn't true) so its sad people say that, but its also sad some Christians do force religion down peoples throats or at least some (not all, just some) bother many people about their religion which in my opinion is disgusting, no one should ever try to question someones beliefs, that is who they are and you have no business questioning it (not you in particular, again just some Christians) in Judaism for example, it is actually wrong to try to convert somebody, though its good to bring someone closer to the religion. god created all, and He knew religions would form (yes, plural "religionS") he meant for it to be this way, and as long as they are not murdering or stealing or anything people wold call "immoral", people have no business trying to change that.

Oh no, I take no offense from you for asking a very good question! Don't apologize for that, and you are in good company despite how some people answer you or what they express. And there are many good people of all religious stripes that are very very caring, very tolerant, and very understanding. I think you fit that description simply by asking this! It is wonderful many of us want to discuss these things and learn something from other points of view. And we need discussion on sensitive topics, that is the only way to promote understanding and tolerance. Don't worry about offending anyone for asking good questions!

Good point! But they do not truly represent Christ. It's False Christianity. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15) " For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. 15 It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works. "

I can't be certain without looking over all your past questions and answers, but I don't think so. I don't think anyone is suggesting that all Christians are like that.

I don't force my beliefs down anyone's throat. I simply acknowledge who I am and whose I am. May God Bless

Yes, I agree. I'm the first to "live and let live" but this dominionist theory (have you heard of it?) is very frightening. It makes me feel compelled to attach theism.

Just by saying that eternal damnation is true, you offend me, but I realize that you have been programmed. I just hope you can grow up some day to be nicer if you are doing that now.
