Do ladies like it when we guys stand up when a lady enters the room?

I like it when a man stands up when i enter the room. There is no harm in this. Its show that the man has respect of ladies etc.

i personally think it's a polite thing to do. and women should probably do the same when a man enters the room.

I don't mind it when its at a table we are all sitting at.
But i also don't want people to feel like they have to do it.
Feel comfortable. Sometimes its awkward to stand due to some restaurants having tables so close together.
If they stand i nod in appreciation.

A gesture like this makes me feel special and respected. I almost unconsciously smile and act more warmly toward a man who treats me like that.
