All-purpose flour: "Shelf- Life: for cabinet storage, up to 8 months if properly stored in a sealed container or if tightly wrapped, and for refrigerator storage, up to one year."

I keep mine in the freezer until I need to refill the container. I go through a 5 lb bag of flour every 6 weeks or so; a 10 lb bag will get me through Christmas (I hope).

6-8 Months in an airtight container, same for wheat flour too
