THIS IS THE ONLY ANSWER YOU NEED--- the newest chi is the best. it is the chi nano-it has kewl nano technology, even heating plates and glides smoother than most other chi's. It also has silver in it (not metal in the plate cuz chi is strictly ceramic) but in it's interworkings-the silver is an anti-bacterial agent. this new one is like a light blue-periwinkle color...and...they have a newer version too which allows you to pick your temperature, it has a digital reader on it. OR if you have thinner hair and like some volume left in it when you straighten they have a new chi volumizer that is coming out. It has beveled edges to keep that "bump". that one is bright red.....I hope that answered it for you, trust me I just had the people from Farouk systems come to the salon where I work last week :)

well to honest ive been using a chi for a long time ( i get a new one every year) and then i used my friends that is a paul mitchell and omg it worked so much better and its cheaper. my hair stays staight for even longer

Hi from what I understand there is only one type of chi flat iron just different colors... here some flat ironing help.
