Saul/Paul had set out initially to subvert Jesus’ teachings. Later he used his new doctrines to undermine the power of the Jewish church as well as the defied Roman Emperor. Paul sought to torpedo Judaism in its calcified form, its narrow interpretation of the Judaic law. He steered Christ’s teachings away from monotheism and from the Jews, (the lost sheep of Israel) and directed these teachings in a corrupted form to Non-Jews…As Jesus had not succeeded during his mission in converting the majority of his Jewish brothers and sister to his divinely inspired interpretations of Judaism, Paul ensured that after Jesus had departed, that Jews would not be temped to follow Jesus’ Teachings. To this end, Paul so adulterated Jesus’ life, purpose, mission and claims to make the new dogma (Paul’s version of Jesus’ teachings) repugnant to the Jews. Just because some Muslim hate monger wrote something in a book, does not hardly nullify Scripture. Hosein had an Axe to grind. Besides, he got it all wrong.
Have you read "Islam Revealed" by the Palestinian religion scholar Dr Annis Shorrosh? He was raised in Palestine, and holds two earned doctorates in religion. He is an expert in Judaism, Christianity, and Mohammedanism (Islam). He has written several books along these lines. Read some of them, and see what you think.

I think that the best place to get the true teachings of Jesus Christ and Paul is to read the real Word of God, the Holy Bible. One cannot get an A encyclopedia and need information on zebras. May God Bless

You've quoted the basic thinking of Islamic proselytism. It is essentially meaningless in a Christian context.

Paul does not contradict Jesus. And Paul quotes him more often than a lot of the pop-religion types are often willing to admit - his teaching on divorce for instance.

Jesus Himself raised up Paul for His witness and as an Apostle to the gentiles so you are in disagreement with Jesus.

Man, you sure are theologically messed up.

Jesus' mission?

Dude, Jesus' mission as God's ONLY son was to live a perfect example as God in man and die for our sins, take them with him into hell, to break the barrier of death with his resurrection, to leave his Holy Spirit here for our guide and for us to have limitles forgiveness as well as eternal life.

He was not here to 'convert' "a majority of his Jewish brothers and sister to his divinely inspired interpretations of Judaism."

He did not ever make anyone convert... all he said was "follow me"... and they did... in droves.

Jesus succeeded. How do I know that? Because I am forgiven, truly forgiven... and so are you should you get your head out of your [ahem] and accept that forgiveness.

Paul only spread his message further... Paul's 'mission' was as a Christian man... a flawed, imperfect, forgiven human, who was an admitted sinner (not a saint), as a living witnessing fully devoted follower of Christ, was simply as a soundingboard or touchstone for the Lord, to spread the Gospel... the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord. Paul also ushered in a networking and correction of the church which easily could gave foundered had Paul not done as God had asked him. Whether you accept Jesus as your savior or not... Paul, as Christ commands us, strived to be as Christlike as humanly possible, to make his life as an example of Jesus' life... and Paul did that splendidly.

Paul presented himself as a living sacrifice to God. What more could one ask of a man?
