i personally think we should stay because i know allot of people that have been over there and they think its the right thing and we have accomplished alot. like for instance there where alot of people that havent even seen a TV or even went to the doctor until we arrived. we as practically one of the strongest nations of the world should help the weaker ones get back on their feet. think if you were living over their and the Taliban was taking your family and forcing them into service and if you refused you would die. why do you think people immigrate to America.......because even if they are treated like crap over here its still alot better than over their.

although i know some of it is over oil we are still helping people over their and its hard to listen to the media anyway because alot of it is from people that hand their camera over to any citizen and if they bring their camera back to them the cameraman will give them some money and make up stories for all the pictures.

But hopefully eventually we can get them out after we get their government up and running

I think that should be the ultimate goal, I don't think that we can remove them at this moment. As much as I would like to see our military home and safe, securing our own borders I do not think we can just up and leave without further damage to the middle east. We should have never been in Iraq in the first place. When George Bush decided to go to Afghanistan he had a 80% approval rating, now after 5 years in Iraq it is down in the low 30's. The reason for going to Iraq has been proved to be a falsehood, people are catching on as evidenced by the last election. But I don't think there are very many that can whole heartily support bringing the troops home at this time.

I think most people in the world who love peace and hate invasion by foreign troops would agree with taking out foreign troops of Iraq. But now Iraq people is at war between Syiah and Suni followers.US government should be responsible for redevelopment of damages and restoring security in Iraq.Us government started the war and they should end it peacefully.

It's kind of a tough question. We should have never got into this mess in the first place, and now there is no solution that is guaranteed to work. Immediate withdrawal will leave the country vulnerable to rule under religious extremists and will tarnish our country's reputation even more. Leaving the troops there will cause more deaths on both sides, and the Iraqis will continue to rebel.

We simply don't have enough allies or troops to fight Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and all the other shittes factions without having a major draft and world war 3. Bush is pretty much being told by the whole middle east to go home. So we either get thousands of people killed or pull out............it would be good to see those boys get to come home for Christmas

Oh, we WILL take troops out of Iraq.

The question is: will they leave Iraq on their own legs, or will they leave in body bags?

Thank the idiots Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld for this dilemma, and if you think 28,000 American casualities have made a difference, you're out of touch with reality.

eventually.. I hope so...

personally I would like to see them do what they did with Afghanistan... turn it over to the locals more and more... we've taken it much slower with Iraq than we did Afghanistan, and Afghanistan had many more terrorists...

we never had a tight grip on Afghanistan, we just kind of eased out of the picture...

RIGHT NOW!

And deploy them to Iran.
Just like in Rwanda, the Iraqis will get tired of killing eachother soon enough.

If we could do the job properly, OBLITERATE ANY CITY SHOWING ANY SIGN OF USA PROTEST, we could have left 2 years ago. Imagine Fallujah scale assualt on every and any anti usa protest.

Yea it sure would nice to be able to say "OK, the war is over. Everyone please stop fighting." But things don't work that way in the real world or there wouldnt be wars to begin with. You cannot leave until the job is done.
