1. could be your body type
2. could be your food
3.could be the fact that you don't let your body rest
4.could be the way you do your exercise (fast, slow, how many repetitions)
5.could be the time (maybe you just started )
I recommend you not to kill yourself working out too much and go check with a docotor if it's ok what you doing :)
good luck

300 situps and 60 leglifts - wow! You're working out pretty hardcore arn't you? Getting a six-pack is one of the hardest things to get....Firstly, getting those perfect ab muscles is alot to do with your diet - so make sure your on a healthy diet and not eating junk because that will almost certainly stop you from getting the six pack. Secondly, it's not absolutly nessecary that you do 300 of them. Abs are different to the other muscles in your body in which you usually work them out by doing sets and repetitions - an easy rule is to do your situps until your abdominal muscles start to strain!

You may just have fat covering up your 6 pack. If you lose your body fat, your abs will show. Also, you may be doing your situps so fast that they aren't really taxing your abs very much. Situps and leglifts affect the hip flexors more than the abs. Try doing more crunches, which are strictly for the abs.

You can do 8 million situps and never have a six pack if you don't do something to lose the fat covering it. Start jogging (or walking, whatever floats your boat) and change your diet. You need to do an even body workout. You can get better results by doing a total body workout and less ab work with higher weight. See a personal trainer or study websites to make sure you do it right!!!!

Hi,
No doubt that your sit ups and leg lifts will form your muscles but if you do not do anything to remove the fats covering them, you will still not see your 6 pack.
In order to remove the fats surrounding your muscles, you may want to:
1) Do more cardio exercises like jogging, swimming
2) Do a detox
3) Do both of the above
My husband trained hard but still had a flabby tummy... so he did a detox. He lost 8kg within 2 weeks and once the fats were gone, his 6 pack immediately appeared and even got my friends drooling when he took off his shirt ;)
If you want more info about the detox, you can contact me at verityy@yahoo.com as I specialize in helping people detox.

Some body types just have different muscle sculpture and will never achieve a 'six' pack.
also...how long have you done your situps and leglifts? are you also doing cardio??? cardio will help give you an over all balance. how is your diet? other kinds of exercise and diet play a big apart in how you'll see results.
good luck

It can be your body, and all you can get is a flat stomach and somewhat visible abs. You need to add some cardio in your workout. What you're doing is just strenghtening you abs. If they are covered by some fat, they won't be seen. Walk, jog, run, swim, bike just add some cardio into your workout, and you'll most likely see results. Also talk to a fitness trainer or a doctor, so you don't over work yourself. Make sure you take a day off to rest your muscles.

Some people's bodies just can't pull off a six pack, and it takes a really long time and a lot of work to get one. I think guys look better without them anyway.

could be your body type, most guys are tall and thin and can get the abs but not the muscle bulk in their arms OR they are shorter and stockier types that can bulk up real fast but not ever have visible abs.
You could eliminate carbs including alchohol and be sure to cross train - use both anerobic and aerobic (like weight lifting and jogging). When you jog or lift, keep you stomach tightened.

i would think its your body type. i'm able to get a six pack but no matter what i do for my legs they don't get any bigger. Not even when i rode a bike 10-15 mi. daily. Good luck, don't give up.
