When people start to talk to you and at first they talk in words that are not like bad words/cuss words and the after a while of getting to talk to you they start to use cuss words does it mean that person feels comfortable saying these words around you?
Like say for example how some guys might feel that they should not say bad words or cuss words around women.

I don't feel comfortable at all cursing around females unless we are like super close friends. And even then, I try to watch my language.

Hearing cuss words can form a habit. It just becomes part of your normal talk. Cussing for me is a habit around some. 99% of my friends cuss. Me and my ex dated a little over a year before I slipped and cussed in front of him. From then on we said what ever word around each other. It depends on the person, and at sometimes reason. The major bad word you know is 'f-ck'. That is bad any time. The smallest one is 'd-amn'. It may sound reliogious dam-n is actually what happened when some one goes to hel-l. That's what is in the Bible about the devil. Anyway if they just say it after awhile,depending on attitude, they feel comfortable in front of you.

I think it means that the person feels comfortable saying those words around you. How would I know right? Because that's what I do. When I first met one of my friends, I used to be quiet and polite, now that I got so used to hanging out with her I cuss whenever I want. She doesn't care.

As always it depends on the situation. If it's a problem, tell them that it's offensive. You don't have to explain yourself to them. If they were raised in a proper family they should already know this. Because of what people see on TV, some think that they can talk or behave in any way that pleases them.
In general I prefer not to act like a moral policeman, but there a some circumstances, e.g. formally meeting somebody you don't know, where I think cursing is totally inappropriate.

I refuse to say cuss words. Not my style. And when they see that I don't cuss they realize that and sometime they slow down on there cussing. But not always.

It is hard to say for sure but I have always heard that it is because they feel comfortable talking like that around you. I have heard some say that it is something about you(and your spirit)that says to them that you don't mind. If anyone does that around me, without being ugly I let them know that it is not appreciated. May God Bless

no they want to give off a cool macho man appearance nothin personal. just say hey we are in public dont talk like that round kids. and others are raised to show the upmost respect to women and dont want to show any disrespect to u.

Exactly. I will not curse around someone unless I am comfortable with them or I know that they don't feel uncomfortable if i curse.
