If you don't like the guy, don't go out with him. I don't know why people think that if a guy likes a girl, the girl is somehow obligated to give the guy a chance, but it happens a lot, and it's not right. The only obligation you have is to be true to yourself, and really, if you don't like the guy but you start sending out hints that maybe you do or could (going out with him would be a big hint), that's not at all fair to him either. You don't have to be mean or hateful to him, but be firm in what you feel.

Anyone who forces you to go out with someone is not your friend. If he runs and hides, then that's not really a great sign, either.
I would think what sort of peer pressure you are opening yourself up to in you go through with it.

No, he's too shy to go talk to you, and you don't even like him. It's all peer pressure, but you're the one with him, not other people. It's your choice, but don't let peer pressure decide for you.

if u dont love someone u shouldnt go with them itll be like cheating all the way or people forcing u to do wat u dont want to listen to ur heart not those so called friends they should listen to wat u want to do not wat they want u to do!!
