I would love to come to your side of the pond if you don't mind. I sneaked across the border, from the US, a couple times, but felt guilty without permission. I did Not vote for Bush, and it gets very tiresome here sometimes. So is it okay with you if I engage in conversation with you on occasion?

I was talking to the folks in the UK. I was trying to be polite with them. I wanted to hear from them.

Thank you for those of you who understand that I'm speaking metaphorically. I will not be moving there physically, I just want to be able to engage in intelligent converstation.

If you mean you would like to come to the UK, i wouldn't bother. Stay over there! We have Blair here, who's more Bush than Bush himself, so you probably wouldn't like it here anyway. Most of us living here don't. But if you'd like to engage in conversation about how crap both sides of the pond are, that'd be just grand! :)

If I get what you are saying, you are asking the permission of Mexico to allow you to engage in conversation with them as you have snuck over without permission in the past but feel guilty so you are now asking permission to let go of that guilt and be able to conversate/intermingle guilt free. You are also expressing the fact that you are sorry that Bush is our President and that the fence is being put up? '-)

So you are a US Citizen? Which side are you asking to go to? The UK? Can't help you there as I am an American. But I also did not vote for Bush and agree that it gets tiresome, so can I join you on the other side?

I'm not particularly bothered where you are from or where you want to go, but you can't really chat on yahoo answers. I suggest you open a yahoo 360 blog. You will then be able to select friends of your own choice and chat for as long as you like.
Good luck.

Well, I usually get annoyed when Americans answer UK questions, usually without having the slightest idea about the subjects under discussion.
But you seem nice - welcome!
