I am currently on 75mg Effexor. I don't know if I need to move up to 150mg. What is the normal dosage for Effexor.

usually they start you out on wither 37.5 or 75... then they move you up to either 75 or 150. this is only done if you need the dosage upped. sometimes the first dosage is the right one.. i started out on 37.5 then they upped me to 75 then they upped me to 150 after that it still wasnt strong enough so they continued me on that and gave me zoloft 50mg

Adult dose of Effexor is 70 to 350 mg per day divided in 2 to 3 doses. You will need to check with your doctor about increasing your current dose.

The normal dosage for you is the amount your doctor prescribed. Talk to them if you think you need to raise your dosage and don't take the advise of people on here. Your health is too important to lose.

75 mg is the normal dose although 150 can be done...if the doctor feels you need it. But be forewarned....it will do strange things to you....headaches and dizziness especially
