The Jews are (unjustifiably) hated for a number of reasons, by a number of different groups ...

1) Because Jesus Christ came into the world via the Jews, so those who hate virtue and truth, hate the Jews.

2) Because Jesus died at the hands of the Romans, and at the urging of some corrupt Jews, many Christians (quite improperly) feel justified in holding that against the Jews.

3) Because the early Church was relentlessly persecuted by the Jews, when they should have been converting to Christianity, which led to the predicted destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD.

4) Because the official teachings of many modern Jewish sects still teach some very disgusting and disrespectful things about Jesus and his mother, Mary.

5) Because Karl Marx, the father of modern day godless communism was a Jew.

6) Because the modern and largely apostate nation of Israel often commits atrocities in response to other atrocities (both real and perceived) on Muslims and Christians alike.

7) Because a long standing "sibling rivalry" continues to exist between Jews and Arabs.

8) Because the modern day Jewish homeland was reestablished by force, smack dab in the middle of lands which the Arabs had claimed and occupied for thousands of years, with little regard for the political and other consequences.

9) Because some people deliberately interpret new testament scripture regarding the Jews, quite harshly, and teach others to do it as well.

10) Because some Christian groups teach that Israel is destined to run the world after all good Christians have been "raptured" away, and many others don't particularly like that idea.

11) Because some people look for any excuse to hate.

Christians are admonished by God to forgive ... not to hold grudges.

The chosen people have served their divine purpose, and whether or not God has other uses for them, today's Jews should be afforded the same respect, dignity, and justice as any other people.

No more. No less.

First of all, your question leads the reader to think that people are different from Jews. Jews are people! And the reason that people are antis emetic is because they are ill informed by their own respective religious leaders. That and the fact that the media does not portray Jews in a positive light. If you are asking this question, then you have had a lot of negativity thrown your way. But I am glad you want to know. You obviously have an open mind.

People are afraid of what they dont understand. I myself am not a jew but over the years hearing people spew remarks that the jews killed christ is a good example of that. Blaming someone for the downfall of a civilization (Germany/Austria) for Hitler was easy because the Jews were seen as very separate than the aryan race. Due to that fact , the human mind is susceptible to mindless stereotypes.

I don't hate the Jews, but here are some reasons why many people do and there are still "Nazi's" in this world:

1. They believe they are the chosen people; even though I am a Christian, it is states that Jews are God's chosen people. Think about it, there are countries bordering Israel, they all want to destroy it. All of them against one country (Israel), but why can't they destroy it? Obviously God's hand is with them. That's why after the Holocaust, Jewish people have been working hard, striving to be better than anyone. That's why especially in New York, all of the Orthodox Jews are wealthy. They have to eat kosher meals and to eat ALL organic foods, they must have money.
2. So many people have created lies, think about Hitler, obviously he made up stupid stuff to have people outcast the Jews and to have them rounded up to die in camps.
There are a lot more, but even in the Bible, it states that God's chosen people will suffer more to prove their faith in Him.
Hope this helps!

Did you watch Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ? Anti-semitism was actually started because the Christians blamed the Jews for Jesus' death. Anti-semitism was fostered further by Hitler because he was a Christian and also believed in the very thing I mentioned above. This fostered his hate and was why he tried to commit geneside of the Jews.

All debatable and I'm not pointing fingers. Just providing points of interest.

I'm Muslim from Lebanon my kids were in Lebanon when the war started i wasn't with them, we live in Belgium my kids have Jewish friends i have Jewish friends and they know very well how i feel about their Zionist government they know i support Hezbollah.
No hate is a very very strong words. I remember i got slapped for saying i hate, that is how my mother brought me up not to hate not to generals, see the good in people i have never heard her say anything about Jews or Christians all my life and my kids are that way. But i have to tell you when they came back they were chantting death to Israel. Which is understandable it was quite a shock they haven't been their for 4 years anyway I didn't say anything at first but after few days i sat them down and explained to them that they can't generalize there is good and bad in all religion in every country. my daughter is 7 and my 5 year old son they understood any Way no i don't hate Jews . Another thing i like to tell them is if he is not your brother in religion he is your brother in humanity. But i am very political and with passion about Hizballah and i know it has nothing to do with religion it is all about polotics but i wish others knew

antisemitism is about hating the Jews because they are believed to be the ones who killed Jesus but it was actually the Romans. Jews are also known as stuck up rich money grabbers.(i am Jewish myself so don't think i believe these) but this is what i have heard from experience

True.

I mean, what is so special about Jews that people keep picking on them?! Come on- they've had enough with the Crusades and the Holocaust. Leave 'em alone already.

It all boils down to basic human ego- "I'm better than that guy!" and it's easier to do that for someone who is different.

They are Gods chosen people. Most people that hate the Jews also have nothing to do with God.
