Could be several things. Depends what else is accompanied with the chest pain. Are you having difficulty breathing as well? Are you short of breath? If so, get your butt to a doctor or ER immediately. It could be a collapsed lung (spontaneous pneumothorax). This can be fixed but is an emergency.

Or it could be pulled muscles (have you been shovelling or doing any heavy lifting). Could be an inflammation of the connective tissues (see a doc about getting anti-inflammatories).

If you are not experiencing any difficulties breathing or if the pain doesn't seem to be persistent, probably nothing too serious...but if the pain doesn't subside or get better in the next day or 2, go see a doctor.
