God is operating irrespective of our faith in Him and in His existence. Hence, faith in him or his existence is not material to Him. But 'is it material to us?', is perhaps your question.
Yes. He is the only necessity which justifies all other necessities.

it is not a question that God is necessary because whether we like it or not God is always be living with us and we need God to have good experiences on earth and in the afterlife

I don't recall who said it but,it is a response to your question: "If GOD does not exist, it is imperative that we create Him."
I guess it boils down to this: If you had a symbol of all goodness, all kindness, all beauty, all harmony, all justice, and all perfect love, would you not use it to better your life regardless of the fact that someone would tell you it is not real? If your belief and your following the symbol makes a better and happier human being of you, would you say "Oh well. if It is not real I don't want to benefit of it's good example and advice,I'll just have doubts and blunder in a senseless universe?
