It doesn't have to be what I consider or you consider to be moral. I am just looking to see what your reason for living that way is.

Because I feel much better living this way, I absolutely hate liars, cheats, thieves, and other "ne'er do wells" and do not want to be like that. Simply put...because it feels GOOD!! I can look myself in the mirror every day, and say "good to see you", I am not ashamed of my actions, am very blessed with a spouse who feels the same way, we also help out the less fortunate whenever we can, because we could be their shoes some day. None of my actions are out of fear, I love God, but am not afraid of making a mistake, I know god loves me.

Have to add, whatI think is "moral", I know right from wrong, I do not lie, steal, cheat or do acts of violence, I do not participate in gossip. That is the very short list off the top of my head.

When you say moral do you mean what you consider moral or what society considers moral, I try to live a lawful life, but my moral would differ from yours I'm sure

Hi. Interesting question. I am a priestess of the great goddess, Isis. I am dedicated to her service as have been women through generations in my family. We all take the same vows to lead a pure life. Otherwise, we can not approach Her statue in the Temple. I lead a moral life to keep my religious convictions.

Throughout its pages, the Bible reminds us that it is God who establishes acceptable norms of conduct and morality, though he allows humans the freedom to follow them or not. Millions worldwide recognize that this long-esteemed book is of practical value today and that it is ‘a lamp to their foot and a light to their roadway.’ (Psalm 119:105)

That what separates Jehovah’s people from Satan’s world. The present worldly system of things is increasingly permissive and self-indulgent. Jesus stated: “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it.” (Matthew 7:13) That wide road is being followed by the majority of mankind. To quote the apostle Peter, it is the way of “loose conduct, lusts, excesses with wine, revelries, drinking matches, and illegal idolatries,” a way that leads to a “low sink of debauchery.” (1 Peter 4:3, 4) Its end is destruction.

depends on your faith i would imagine. Some Christan's may do it out of fear of hell, some Muslims may do it for the rewards in heaven... the real question is why an atheist lives a moral life?

If I commit a crime I will be punished by the cops or FBI, plus I know it's wrong and people shouldn't hurt other people.

Guess what, I'm also atheist.

no one is acceptable! Jesus forgives, that doesn't recommend we go out and kill somebody basically because of the fact all of us comprehend we are able to be forgiven! it incredibly is like elevating a toddler. you choose your toddler to nicely known suited from incorrect and clearly do the suited. of path till you're coaching them to do incorrect. regardless of in case you do not have faith in God you should nonetheless stay a ethical existence! yet understanding God is a plenty extra desirable existence! i like to nicely known that God can shelter my each and every desire ~ a manner that no one in this earth can. :)
