I am a christian and I believe in evolution, we didn't just spontaneously appear however the process had to start somewhere, the probability of the random event occurring to start life is so low its near impossible.

Because the Bible told us CLEARLY that God took 6 days to make everything in that was made then. Are you sure we don't know how long those days were when God said it 6 times that there was "an evening and a morning". God was telling us that a day then means the passing of an evening and a morning. Or at least credit the Jews who of all people would know how Genesis ought to be read. Even in their calendar today is dated about the year 5800. Moreover God told Moses in Exodus 20 "For in six days I made everything...." What does 6 days mean in Moses' day? An undefined period of time? I don't buy that. God gave the Bible to us and He is able to communicate His word to us. Sure there may be some hard to understand stuff here and there but most of them are easy to understand. Problem comes when we ask. "Did God really say?"

Who says Christianity displaces evolution in whole? Time changes things. I am Christian and I believe in God's creating of the earth (Not in Bible terms because I don't take the text literally like some people on here) and evolution becuase it is a fact by our logic. Who says you can't?

Why can't evolutionist just accept creationism and just say that's how it happened. Idiot! I am an Atheist but I have never saw a chimp that looks like a human. I have heard that they have 98% DNA like a human. I'll give you that. God bless kisses Betty.

That is for some Christians. I'm an agnostic christian but I think there was some type of evolution, I don't know how but it happened one way. Religion and science are compatible.
