One of my best friends used to cut herself, she had a lot of issues between her and her family, her brother was worshiped, and she was always on the back burner, she used to wear low cut shirts, and her dad always called her a slut, even though at that point she never even kissed a guy. Anyway my point was, the root of your problem isnt the fact you cut, its why you cut. I am not saying its your families fault, its just the way your are dealing with a bigger issue, in oreder to sort all that out you need to come clean with your parents, No.1 because they care, and No.2 if you tell a coucilor they have to by law, your a minor, tell your parents. Dont worry its fairly common, and there are a lot more peopel who want to help, then want to turn you away, for right now you can call toll free 1-877-KIDS-400 and please visit this site, it may also help your parents understand whats going on, http://www.kidscrisis.com/selfmutilation.html I will pray for you sweetie, and hope everything works out for you, just please please, open up to someone, face to face, hopefully your mom or dad

My exgirlfriend did this. She was 31 and told me she did it because it helped her release emotional pain. She had been abused when she was younger and did not get the help she needed. If something bad has happened to you, you need to tell your parents OK. If someone has abused you from your family then call the police and they will tell you who to talk to OK. The most important thing is to tell someone what is bothering you and then you will be on the right road away from cutting.

I'd personally give you a good smack in the head, if you were my kid. Toughen up and learn how to handle your emotions like any other person. I mean, if cutting yourself is all you can do, then have fun. But the only thing you're doing is scarring yourself up, and unless you can get help or just make yourself stop, you'll be doing it forever.

perhaps youd like to talk to a consellor about it, or a trusted friend. I hope you can get the help you need, it wont be easy but its necessary. you should tell your parents verses somone else doing it. that would be embarressing. I will keep you in my prayers. I hope you can get well. Good luck.

you need to tell someone. The fact that you want help is great. But you're not going to be able to do it on your own. tell your parents, and tell them you want to see a professional to get help. Bravery, my friend, I know you have it.
