had a bad experience with a dog rescue, puppy died 4 days after getting. Dog breeders get $500 and up for purebreeds, just want a puppy not a trophy.

I'm sorry to hear he had a bad experience with a rescue group. Most are very reliable and hard working animal lovers. I've adopted from a rescue once (a puppy mill dog) and an animal shelter, both with great success. Look on Petfinder.org and you can find shelters and rescue groups in the area you are looking. Please give adoption another chance.

get one from the pound or try another "breed dog" rescue- don't pay a breeder- there are so many dogs that need a home

it is better to adopt a puppy than to buy one. it gets dogs that are going to be put to sleep in a good home. it is also free.
