One must remember that India was a Colony(an important colony) of England for a LONG LONG time and when under the English, English language was predominent in all activities of India.. Government...school.. businesses...etc

It's not just Indians. Every country has English-speaking citizens in majority. That's because English was the first official language of the UN and it is now compulsory for businesses. WE speak Hindi as it's our national language. (I'm sorry to say that half the people in India, especially South Indians, don't know Hindi) We speak English because it is necessary. English and money make the world go round

Hindi is the official national language of India, but only one province speaks it natively. Every school child is required to study it along with English in school. Most business is done in English

India has 26 or so official languages.

Hindi and English are just 2 of them.

See now the new generation donot know some words in hindi so they subsitute an english word and complete the sentence. it happens all over the world coz english is the international language and learnt by most of the people.
