The world would be a worse place. I`m not American, but I'm big enough to admit to that. Why are you such a bigot?

Well lets take a god long look at how America has influenced the world. Starting with WW1. The Kaiser wants world domination. The allies before America got involved were losing. Had America not stepped in then the European nations as well as England would be speaking German. WW2 we got dragged into it because of the Japanese. We crushed Hitlers Afrika Korp. Then moved into Europe to liberate it with our allies. If not for American involvement again Europe and Britain would be speaking German. By the way we saved China from Japan in WW2. Korean War. Korea would be united but communist. Vietnam (thanks to the French) we withdrew all military advisers and ground forces in 73. All battles were entirely military victories for the Americans but thanks to the media and goddamn hippies it was a political lose. Cuba we should of helped them out a bit more. Grenada we crush the communist forces with little effort. Gulf War that was a turkey shoot. We helped out Kuwait and Saudi kingdom. Afghanistan we got rid of a tyrannical extremist government. Iraq we got rid of a genocidal mad man. So as to your question. No the world would not be better off.

You are asking the wrong question, but some of the answers are still right. The question should really read like this:

Would the world be a better place if all of the other jack asses in the world would police their own?

I agree with some of these other posts. If a country decides to misbehave, then we should pull any and all funding to said country. Because money talks, bull **** walks. If you want our money, then can the bull ****.

Do you really believe that the world would be a better place with out US involvement? We provide aid and relief to countries that would otherwise have nothing. Ask a Thai person if they would have been better off after the Tsunami with out U.S. involvement. Ask a Filipino if they would have been better off after the Mud Slide last year without the U.S. You people always complain when we get involved and you criticize us when we don't. Figure out what you really want and let us know. Until then shut up.

It would be a better place if first the US starts a process of devolutio for all the things they have taken from us.
Some examples of these things are:

Our Political Ideas - USA has changed the government of communist countries. i.e.

Our Government - USA has overthrown governments in Japan, Guatemala, Serbia.. just to name a few.

Our Wealth - USA has taken the wealth of so many nations through infraestructure and goods. i.e. Guatemala's Infraestructure. South America's Arable Lands (Think of Bananas)

Our Ideas - USA has imposed the fashion standards in Japan, Mexico and South America, and all over Europe.

...And besided all of that, and besides everything, USA discriminates and let's down poor and injuried people (think of AIDS) all over the world.

Yeah, the world hates America!

Of course it would be a better place. All they do is go around destabilizing regions in the world, from the Balkans to the middle east. What you have to understand is that the only way a power or in this case a capitalist empire such as the USA, can only exist at the weakness and expense of others. For those who do not agree, all you have to do is compare your present government with the one of Ancient Rome Specific similarities exist. The world would be much of a better place if all the might of the US could be allocated to peaceful endeavors.

I understand the US has overstayed its reputation and is more arrogant than helpful in the current times but, without the US:

-Europe as we know it would not exist. It would have been absorbed into the Ottoman empire during WWI after many more years of gruesome fighting and millions more dead. Following the depression it would have become a third world continent without WWII to bring the world out of it.
-All the inventions and progresses made by Americans would not exist- No televisions, no cars, no rock and roll, no organ transplants, no cure for Polio, no Penicillin, no film industry, no telephones, no computers...
-The Middle East would be filled with brutal dictatorships with no one to stop them.
-Japan would have been conquered by the Axis powers after they were done with them.

Say what you want about this country, it has made a lot of mistakes but without the advancements and achievements of America's "meddling" in world affrairs, it wouldn't be a world anyone would want to live in.

Hmmm.... I really don't understand why so many liberal spoiled brats hate this country so much. They aren't educated enough or have done enough research to have any facts to back up the hate. I know that self loathing has a lot to do with it. But the shear illogical and misrepresented and/or misunderstood boggles the mind. Our population is turning into mush minded robots

Interference in the internal problems of other nations YES! Peace keeping ventures; American leaders need to learn to negotiate, and be sure they understand problems before intervening. YES in many places the world would be better off if USA would not interfere rather than interfere and cause further problems.

Sure, and we, the Americans, can stop giving the BILLIONS of dollars of aid that we give to just about every country in the world, and they can just deal with their own poverty and medical problems that ONLY WE can help them with.
