My boyfriend and I talk on a daily basis. It is VERY rare for a day to go by that we do not talk. We have been dating 5 months and are having a rough spot. After expressing my feelings (concerns) I have not heard back. I have no doubt that he cares about me very much... If he does not call or write me tonight I worry that our relationship is in jeapordy. I need a guy's opinion on this one. What would you do if you were him and what do you think he is thinking? Is he just trying to make me sweat?

There is a lot of energy that goes toward a conflict with any person.

Step out of the conflict, busy yourself with other constructive things and out of respect, give your BF some time and space. If you have been dating for five months, you can step back a little.

Try not to figure it out… things will work out as they should. I know this kind of thing is hard and stressful and especially when you have invested emotion with someone. But you sound like a smart woman and if you play this right, he will be back.

In all relationships there is a process where one person is either moving forward and the other one is moving back. This is a natural dance… so don’t force it. Guys really don’t like pressure.

Hang in there!

i'm not a guy but i can tell you a thing or two about them. they don't like to talk, especially if it's about painful issues. they also have a hard time dealing w/ troubled relationships, and can get easily overwhelmed when a girl starts expressing her feelings all over the place. they need time to internalize your feelings and their own. they have to mull things over, b/c men are known to be problem solvers. if they don't have a solution to a problem, they won't even begin to discuss it. give the poor sap some time to think about what you wrote. and do yourself and him a favor: ease up a bit!!! don't just dump all your worries and frustrations on this guy's shoulders and expect him to respond right away. he'll probably go out, have a beer, try to relax and distance himself from you/the relationship and when he's good and ready, he'll sort out his feelings, think things through, come up w/ a solution (or at least a come-back!!!) and call you. don't call him!!! that's a big no-no!!! the more you push the subject, the further you'll push him away. give him up to 7 days to get back to you. if by then he doesn't call or email you, forget him altogether. it could mean one of two things: he doesn't care enough about you to work things out or he's immature and can't deal w/ this kind of thing, in which case, you'll be better off w/o him. hope this helps, good luck!!! and stop worrying so much!!!

I know you wanted a guy thoughts but let me tell you that from experience that this boyfriend of yours read your concerns and is now thinking it over and if you can wait to call him by Friday and let him think things through I bet he will have an response and if he really cares for you will want to work things out too

He needs space, let him have it for a day or two. After that if you don't hear from him, toss a dead rabbit in his locker with a sign around the neck that says, "you."

Guys like a challenge it's their nature. You've got to play hard to get. If you sense trouble then there is trouble! Break up with him first!! It will make you more attractive to him! Don't let him break up with you!

My guess is that he is in denial that there is a problem and hoping that if he ignores it, that it goes away.

Sorry, but that's how guys are.
