I make a powerpoint presentation every Christmas instead of sending cards, and I would like to have some background music on this year's. I have tons of music on my hard drive that I can use.
I tried to follow the help instructions that come with the program, but can't get them to work.
I saw a reply to a similar question, but I'm wondering if there is any way of locking the music file to the presentation so that when I send it, the recipient will get the whole slide show and music.

Click File -> Package for CD ...

It will create one file for you, and that file has the music in it. The recipient has to have a PPT viewer to view it and listen to the music. Be careful. The file might be pretty big.

On the slide that you want to insert music on, use the menus at the top of PPT. Select insert, select Movies and Sounds, and then select the file. It can get a little more complicated depending what you are trying to accomplish. Check out office.microsoft.com.
