Who said Christians cannot build churches in Saudi Arabia?...and even if they couldn't it's probably against the law..and in Italy it's apparently not...so does that answer your question?
Also, Islam teaches tolerance...so Christians should have the right to build churches in Saudi Arabia...but i don't believe they have that large of a population to do so...

Italy is a secular and democratic country. Saudi Arabia is an Islamic theocracy. I don't think that Italy should take Saudi Arabia as an example.

Saudi Arabia is sacred for Muslims. you are able to equipped church homes in different places purely no longer the sacred ones, yet like Kimo stated, an same reason you may want to no longer equipped a Mosque contained in the Vatican. back Saudia Arabia is amazingly sared for Muslims, that is were we bypass to Hajj, that is a pillar of Islam. [3:113] they don't seem all an same; between the followers of the scripture, there are those who're righteous. They recite GOD's revelations with the help of the evening, and they fall prostrate. [3:114] they believe in GOD and the most suitable Day, they advise righteousness and forbid evil, and they hasten to do righteous works. those are the righteous. [3:one hundred fifteen] Any sturdy they do received't bypass unrewarded. GOD is totally attentive to the righteous. [2:sixty 2] actual, those who believe, those who're Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anybody who (a million) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the most suitable Day, and (3) leads a righteous existence, will get carry of their recompense from their Lord. they haven't from now on something to worry, nor will they grieve.

Because Muhammad did not allowed churches to continue it's existence in Arabia, he changed the church to Mosque. Saudi constitution is based on Koran and sunnah(Muhammad teaching and behavior), so allowing Church is against Muhammad teaching and then against Saudi law. Italian law does allow somehow freedom of religion but if Italy still ruling by dark-ages law probably they well not allow mosques.

cause Saudi Arabia is more hardlined ... dont use Saudi Arabia as an example, even I as a Muslim think some of their interpretations (wahhabi movement) is a little backwards.
u can find churches in other Muslims countries, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, UAE, etc. Dont generalize all Muslims countries based on ur perception of Saudi Arabia.

tougher laws. more likely that somebody would bomb the church in Saudi Arabia than somebody bomb a mosque in Italy. italys laws are more open minded than saudia arabia. good question, though.

Hey, man, if you want to go into Saudi Arabia as a self-proclaimed Christian and announce you're going to build a church, go for it.
