God specifically states this as it is one of the commandments not to work on the day of the Sabbath, even a sin to be put to death for in the bible! And everyone does it now, corporate overlords force it on poverty stricken Christians near and far.
but the commandments say nothing about "fornication" but it does list some steamy stuff in Song of Songs. It doesn't seem to be as big of a deal bible wise as not honoring your mother and father.
And what does having sex outside marriage matter anyway if you are "saved" and what does it matter anyway if you are going to hell anyway and there is no punishment according to each sin?

It's a tie. A dead heat.

Now - fornication *on* the Sabbath....that's double Jeopardy.

Take a look at Acts 15:29, Acts 21:25, Romans 1:29, and several other verses that speak against fornication. Also note that in the New Testament, very little is said about the Sabbath, except that Jesus did miracles on that day, and people complained about it.

And I am not sure if I understand Colossians 2:16 completely, but it seems to indicate that the honoring the Sabbath is not necessary. It looks like the verse was to gentile Christians who were being told that they had to obey all of these laws from the Old Testament, but Paul is telling them that they don't have to honor any Jewish holy days (specifically mentioning the Sabbath).

Well technically sin is one in the same. But what I think you're referring to may be one of those things that was an issue, like B.C., whatever, and isn't so much an issue now. I guess it depends on how you really perceive that and whether or not it interferes with your attending church or not because if it is a hindrance, and you're not doing anything about it then it is sinful regardless of what anyone else thinks about it.

A lot of this is about your state of mind that is behind the action, not the rationalization for each act or behavior. You shouldn't take it so literally.

Precisely, what ever kind of sin you do death is the punishment. So there in short there is no greater sin than sin itself. Even small or big it is still sin and it is punishable by death. What's the difference between a man robbing a bank and a man doing pickpocket? They will not be judge on how much money they took but rather according to their sin. Thou shall not steal.

Personally, I would say Sex before marriage, because Now a days, there isn't anyone who doesn't work on the Sabbath.

a sin is a sin. One sin is not better or worse than another sin. The wages of sin is death, if you sin then you will perish but those who believe and repent will die and live in eternal life with God.

deffantly working on the sabbath because it is one of the ten commandments. the cammandments were given to us to be our guide lines/our main rules. It is like commiting a huge crime like killing in the us and then doing a smaller crime like speeding. the bigger crime is worse. And it is the guide line law/one of the main laws

I am asking God for a miracle here. You seem to be a little upset about something.

So, I am praying that God will touch you and open your eyes and heart to him. He loves you. Yes he do.

God Bless you and your family this Holiday Season...

I agree with one of the answers already given above: sin is sin, and all sin --no matter how big or small it is-- deserves death.

It's true that some sins carry on more consequences than other ones, but finally all have terrible consequences.

About stoning a person to death for breaking the Sabbath, it was a civil law for the early Israel. Though the Sabbath day as the Lord's holy day is still biding, now we don't sentence a person to death (at least in some countries there's not death sentence). The ultimate wage for sin is death anyways. Jesus Himself didn't let the men stone a woman caught in adultery; He forgave her, and soon was about to pay the penalty for her sin. Christ doesn't want us to die in our sins, that's why He came down to earth: to save us from sin.

Braking the Sabbath violates the one of the Commandments of God's Law, it's true. But fornication --or any sex sin-- is dangerous too.

"That is why I say to run from sex sin. No other sin affects the body as this one does. When you sin this sin it is against your own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18; TLB).

I think the Scripture couldn't have been more clear: Sex sin is "against your own body"... "No other sin affects the body as this one does".

Our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit, we should keep it healthy:

"Haven't you yet learned that your body is the home of the Holy Spirit God gave you, and that He lives within you? Your own body does not belong to you. For God has bought you with a great price. So use every part of your body to give glory back to God, because He owns it." (I Corinthians 6:19-20, TLB)

Any sin against your body is against your health, and if we take it to its final consequences, you're actually killing yourself. "Thou shalt not kill." Exodus 20:13

Sex was made for marriage, and any disobedience against God has terrible consequences. God doesn't mean to bother us by giving us these advices, but because He knows how things work, He tells us what's the best way for us. Just think about it, how many undesired pregnancies, abortions, abandoned babies, girls who throw away their plans for life because of early pregnancy, AIDS, shame, brake ups, desilutions... you name it, could have been avoided if a couple had waited for marriage?

God gave us will, and it's up to us to choose what we want: if we choose to obey God and follow His plan for sex in marriage, He'll give us the strength to wait for marriage. We woudn't regret it, believe me. I've known people who got pregnant before marriage, they got married, and unfortunately they're not together anymore.

It's a fact: sex before and out of marriage brings sad experiences. Unfortunately, it seems that we humans learn by the taugh way, and sometimes not even by that. Though witnessing other cases of unhappy people who are carrying the consequences of their actions, we still want to "try" by ourselves.

Unmarried sex is the search for the respect we don't have, but little we realize that we're actually losing it. You and anyone deserves a wonderful plan for their life, because God has given you that right. He'll never do or command you to do anything that will harm you, when what He wants the most is to see you happy! He loves you more than His own life, how could He rejoice in seeing you unhappy? No way! Trust Him, He'll never dissapoint you.

"For God wants you to be holy and pure and to keep clear of all sexual sin so that each of you will marry in holiness and honor—not in lustful passion as the heathen do, in their ignorance of God and his ways." (I Thessalonians 4:3-5, TLB)

If you (or anyone) have had sexual relationships before marriage, remember you have a Saviour who can, and wants, to forgive you. Just ask Him for forgiveness, and He'll give it to you more than happy.

There is no sin since there is no god. Sex outside of marriage might be immoral but it is legal.
