And also, theres a semi formal coming up at my school and he said hes not sure if hes going. So me and my best friend (mostly me only her because im telling her to) are trying to convice him to go. Whenever we talk about it, I look over to my best friend sometimes and tell her how i wish i had a date and that one of my friends thats a girl is going to have to be my date (in a kidding way). Then i look at him. Does he get that i want him to be my date?

Let me inform you about something I've learned about men:

They can be slow. Not stupid or dumb. They just don't catch on to things quickly sometimes. I mena, to you and I, that seems so laid out and "duh!", but he probably doesn't realize it. OR he is too scared to ask you because he thinks, but isn't sure, you are talking towards him.

Try to be more blunt... (I know, it doesn't seem possible without actually asking him).

Good luck.

You should just ask him right out if he wants to go with you. Chances are he's completely clueless and not getting the subtle hints or he is just "ignoring" them because he wants you to make the first step. He might even be shy when it comes to girls or doubt that you like him.

Sweetie, he is a guy. Guys in general sense are a bit dense. I'd be direct and flat out ask him to the dance. And really what have you got to loose? Good luck.

Unless he is pea-brained or totally oblivious to things, he should get it. If not, and if you so very want him to be your date, y not just ask him out. What's the harm in you asking him out .... time's are changing girl.
