It depends upon the weight of the chicken. You should preheat the oven to 350 and cook for approximately 40 mins per pound. The temperature on the thermometer will read 180 degrees. When you puncture the skin the juice should be a clear liquid, if its pink let it cook a little longer.

Basic roasting temp for most things is in the 350 range. As for amount of time, you can find time /weight charts all you want but they will never be accurate. There are numerous tests you can do like seeing if the leg moves freely around the joint, but the safest way is to have a meat thermometer and stick it in the leg. Poultry is one meat that has to be cooked all the way through in order to be food safe. Simple seasoning is the basics, rubbing with salt and pepper- after that you can improvise and stick garlic cloves under the skin, or lemon, or put these things inside- not stuffing- as you said you weren't interested in stuffing. But to just stick a lemon or orange or something similar inside for flavouring. When roasting, tie the legs together either with string or with the little piece at the top that can tuck right over, so it cooks more uniformly and keeps its shape after. Plus you can add a bit of tin foil to the wings halfway through cooking so they don't burn before the rest of the bird is done. And then keep it uncovered and pull it out when it's done and let it rest about 20 minutes before cutting into it. Sorry, forgot to add the internal temp of the chicken has to be 185F (at that temp for at least 15 seconds, to kill bacteria)

You cook usually everything at about 350 give or take. If it is completely thawed out it should take about 2 hours t 2.5 hours and should be a temp of 160 f to 180 f
These are not set in stone everything depends on size of chicken your oven and if chicken is still partly frozen.

I uasually bake a chicken at 350 degrees for about 1-2 hours depending on the size, also the chicken should have one of those pop-up things that pops up when chicken is done, remember to baste so that it is not dry.
