I just dyed my hair, but I don't like it--Will my hair be ok if I dye it a different color a week after i dyed it?

I messed my hair up with color that had the mascara wand to add highlights and my hair turned orange. I went the next day and got a slightly darker color and it was fine. It felt a little tangled, but use really good conditoner, and maybe some leave- in conditioner spray, and you will be ok.

It depends on what color and texture your hair is, but in most cases it will be fine. I would suggest using some box color you can pick up at any store, I'd go with Natural Instincts by Clairol, it is a temporary dye, but is very gentle on your hair and will generally not wash out right away if applied properly. I believe 24 shampoos is the estimate on the box, I'm not sure, but it is the best way to go especially because you didn't like your hair color the first time. This way you can test it out using a temporary dye and if you decide you like it, Clairol also makes permanent dyes in the same colors so you can use that one if you decide that it works for you.
You must be aware that because your hair was recently colored, the new color will probably turn out a little bit different than what is on the box, a small difference and it will most likely be just some traces of the previous color left over. I would suggest going a shade darker because it will show up better than if it were a shade lighter in which case it may not show up at all.
Hope this helps, good luck.

As much as you hate it, it's best to leave the color alone for now. One week is definitely too soon to be dying your hair again. Wait a few weeks, apply some moisturizing and deep conditioning treatments, and then see a professional hairstylist when you want the color fixed. Dying hair so frequently can be very damaging, and in rare cases even cause some people's hair to break off or fall out.

I did this same thing once.. I went blond adn hated it, but I dyed it again right away. The worst thing that happened was my scalp got very irritated. You need to consider the condition of your hair, though. And you might go ahead and consult with a hair stylist and make sure that it will be okay. The condition of your hair will play an important part in how it turns out.

it really depends on the strength of your hair....one time I dyed my hair 4 times in a week but it wasnt a good thing. I would suggest to wait about 2 weeks....you may not like the color but you wont like it if you're bald.....

Yes it will be okay. Next time dye a little bit of hair and if you don't like it don't dye the rest.

Yup!When doing any corrective service it is often multiple color applications in the same day. You'll be fine provided your hair is not too damaged. If it's breaking off or the elasticity is gone then I would wait, otherwise...knock yourself out!

you can but after you dye it use some deep conditioner cause dye will make your hair really dry and probably damage it .
