i am shy and i don't know how to start a conversation with a guy

Forget guys. It's a dog eat dog world. Get rid of that timidity.
Go to a social area you usually don't go and practice just saying you opinion. Soon you'll do it everywhere.
I was so quite and scared to talk, it was an annoying topic with my teachers. UUUUGGGH. They put me in a special class because they thought I could not speak English. I had so much fun there because all the kids were shy like me. We just couldn't stop talking to each other. They did return us to regular class sorry to say I became quite again.
But I did what I suggested. Around people who did not know me, I begun slowly saying my opinion openly.
Years later no one can shut me up. Sometimes they want to. I don't care though.

I would think that you don't like me if you are not talking... As I am shy also and I have had people tell me that they thought I didn't like them because I wasn't talking alot. Just try to ask questions and keep the conversation going.

Yes, some guys like shy quiet girls. Not every guy likes the loud mouthed, crazy girl.

ive been with a mouthy chick before, it got kind of embarrasing at times, she was loud and obnoxious and caused scenes and insulted anyone she could. The best thing about a girl who talks a lot is that I usally dont have to, since im kind of shy and dont really like talking or have much to talk about. Im sure you will be able to fake it, just bring up sports or something he likes and let him blather away.

I usually like quiet and shy girls most of the time. I just stay away from the really loud girls.

it depends . if your a weird shy girl then no. but if you are a shy girl that is pretty normal then yes guys will like you.and just go up to a guy and say hi or something

It really depends on the guy.
Me personally (I know this isn't what you want to hear) I like girls that are out-spoken and actually take initiative to ask a guy out. But, a lot of guys are intimidated by that.

How to start a conversation with a guy? Watch at least one person who is good at it then practice, practice, practice--and remember, if you're nervous at all the guy is probably MORE nervous than you are ;) Best of luck :)

Quiet is good, you just have to find a way to make yourself stand out that's all. Maturity has a lot to do with it as well, some may not be able to really appreciate the quiet type; it's their loss.

I've always preferred quiet girls! that's one of the main things I liked about my wife when we started dating! of course after she had a baby, she went a little crazy because of the hormones and wasn't very quiet anymore.. she's starting to settle down again though, which is nice.. loud girls are just obnoxious in my opinion..
