is mahatma brown rice better or is carolina brown rice better?

This would depend on what you mean by better!
I am am a Louisiana Cajun from New Orleans and I used to eat a LOT of rice. We use rice with EVERY dish! Mahatma is a brand name. Carolina brown is probably a variety. I like basmatti brown because it is very low in carbs and I am diabetic. But I liked basmatti even before my diabetes was discovered -- it tastes great. There are many brands of basmatti variety rice. I compare the nutrition labels and the price when I shop. You should do this to find which ones meet your needs. Then try the ones with the best stats to find the one which tastes best to you. Any brown rice will be very nutritious over-all. Some are lower in carbs, which I need to watch.
