If it were me (not that I've ever done anything like that) I would ask myself if I could remember any sharp edges. If not I would probably eat a quantity of starches (such as spaghetti or bread) and attempt to pass the bit of metal on my own.I also would not attempt to consume the rest of the can as this would be considered "pushing my luck".

x rays cannot detect the tab, it is radio-opaque, If you develop pain - see a doctor - otherwise it is small enough to pass through your entire intestines and should pass un noticed - I have done it and taken care of patients that have done it
